Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I shouldn't be doing this. You'll love [hate] me for doing this. This is the best cookie ever! However, I like being the one everyone seeks out to ask, "What did you put in these cookies to make them so good?" I don't want them complimenting you, I want them complimenting me! But since this recipe was given to me by someone I sought out to ask them that very question, it is only proper for me to pass it on to you!

Everyone may disagree on what the BEST cookie is: Peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, or oatmeal cookies. Well, the reason these are so good is because its ALL of those in one perfect little round morsel of greatness!

 Part 1: Cream together

1 cup butter (or part shortening)
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Add Part 2:
2 cups flour
1 cup quick cooking oats (not old fashioned)
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups of chocolate chips

Bake @ 350 for 10-12 minutes

This is a wonderful recipe to make with kids. Everything is 1 cup or 2 cups. This makes it so much better than the Toll House recipe that needs 3/4 cup of the sugars.

I have found its best with actual, real butter (not margarine).  I undercook them, say 9-10 minutes, and after I pull them out of the oven, I let them sit 2 minutes on the cookie sheet so the edges get crispy, but the centers stay chewy. Enjoy!

  1. Grandma thinks these are the absolute best and so does her Thursday night group!

    1. Well, that does it, if Grandma thinks these are the best, then they definitively ARE! You don't get a stronger endorsement than that! :)

I love comments! Would love to know you were here! :)
